Moving On From Blogger To Wordpress, Soon...

Dear everybody,

I had some serious technical issues since last post and looks like blogger ditched again. I am moving on to word press now, but with a different name. I am not tech-savvy, so I probably will copy-paste the existing content just to make sure I dont mess up with anything. Will post links to new blog here very soon. Upgrade to better things is not as easy as it seems. To scrap your one year effort and pain and emotions and move on is just a nightmare. But, I need to take the risk. I am praying and fingers crossed, I will still have your support like always. I had exciting projects and posts lined up, in vain! Please stay tuned for the update, which will be done very shortly. Everything hopefully gets back to normal sooner than anticipated....

For The Love Of Handloom / Handmade

Narendra Modi is all set to launch National Handloom Day on August 7th, so Chennai has been chosen for the event as its bountifully abundant! No argument and strictly, no offence! Thanks to social media, entrepreneurs and increasing mass movements, handloom and handmade are going places and lauded like never before!

To love handmade and handloom, you dont have to be a conservationist. For me, it was a conscious decision! Everybody has a different perspective to support a commendable cause! We dont see things as they are, but we see them as we are. Irrespective of its size and price, the feel-good factor is irreplaceable when you support a genuine cause! Everything handmade is made out of love and enjoyed to its core throughout. You buy any handmade product, you support the artisan directly. You give them a livelihood to sustain the chamelionic cruel market strategies.

Everything handmade has a personal aspect involved. It has a heart to it! When you buy, its the most beautiful way of rewarding their efforts! You support their vision and celebrate humanity! You help them achieve financial independence and build their confidence like nobody's business! That confidence results in more creativity! We are all born with the ability to change someone's life, so we should definitely not give up the course-altering chance!

Labels are for jars, not for the real talent! Any exhibitions or such supporting communities, your interaction with the artisan gets personal. That gleam and pride to convince you are unparalleled! They want you to see what others dont! You buy, you know where your money goes! You feel proud for being the reason behind their smiles! For the artisan, the end product is love, time, attention, soul, tears, energy, thoughts, skill, detail, frustration, commitment, effort, pain and the list goes on and on and on! Sustainability comes with a premium, so its ethically fair to pay the price!

The way you give a gift is worth more than the gift itself! Next time, try and gift handmade things than store-bought ones! Trust me, the essence feels great inside out. You know what I mean if you have already been there and done it! Every time you look at a handmade product, try visualize the artisan.

We live in an era where we bargain with the street vendors, but pay dear to the big daddies of business! Go out and support the art of your neighbourhood because its worth your everything! We dont need a reason to help people! If we do, its a win-win situation for both! Everybody goes home happy :)

Give Away Alert - T&C* Apply :)

Dearest Darlings,

Though a simple Thank You would be an underplay, I sincerely thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the love and the likes! Special bow Thank You to Gaurang Shah, Shreedevi Chowdary Nekkanti, Himanshu Verma, Mamta Reddy, Rachana Reddy, Mira Sagar and Aruna Chandrala for recognizing my efforts!

That's not me, just in case :)

I know many of you are yet to religiously Facebook-like my page, but boy am I glad at least you are finding time to come back for more! I started this blog to support multiple causes! With every post, I want to get better and make it more appealing to you all. I might fail you seldom, but I will definitely strive harder. To me, every LIKE counts as I know they are not paid for. I know where you all are coming from, too!

I am blessed to be where I am today and I take nothing for granted! I humbly request you all to share my blog with your friends and family. The more, the merrier! As a token of gratitude, one of you will receive this beautiful dupatta with hand-painted Kalamkari on handwoven fabric. I am still in the Kalamkari hangover, hence this is the wise choice! I paid for the dupatta and nobody sponsored, so kindly understand this is a genuine gesture!

I always wondered what is the right way to blog, the ethics, dos and dont's etc! I dont care any more as this is no competition. We all (include me) like random pages just because Facebook tells us to! We forget about them later and move on! Dont know how this sounds, but I am promoting the sweat and blood of people on my blog! The best part is none of these super stars asked me to do so! It was just a conscious decision! Their efforts should not go waste and unnoticed! Just because somebody is dolled up like an angel, doesnt mean they are redundant. Please understand, they are promoting somebody or something for a cause! If one person benefits from their work, its definitely worth your while! As a matter of fact, any blog or page or entity that promotes such things should never go unnoticed!

I have not confined my blog to celebrities only! I talk about everybody and anybody who work towards their own cause! You are talented, you are our celebrity! Come, write to us if you have a story to share. Big or small, doesnt matter! Don't let your efforts go waste! If you agree with what I say, please share my blog and help me reach my goal! Its a harmless win-win situation :)

T&C* - Shipping within India only! NRIs, I can ship it across to your friends or family!
